Not Sure This Is The Right System?
Request a Free Solar ProposalThe EG4 WallMount Outdoor Battery puts 16kWh of LiFePO4 storage in an IP67-rated enclosure that mounts on an exterior wall. 12.86kWh of that is usable at the recommended 80% depth of discharge. If your garage is full, your basement is finished, or code pushes the storage outside the envelope, this is the version that goes there.
It runs at 51.2V nominal with 10.2kW of continuous discharge and 12.8kW of peak, so it does not flinch when a well pump or a compressor starts. The integrated BMS handles active balancing and protection, and the built-in heater keeps the cells charging through a hard freeze. Parallel up to 32 units, so the system you buy today is not the system you are stuck with.
Every order ships free to the lower 48 and is checked by a sales engineer against your inverter and your loads before it goes to the supplier. If the configuration does not add up, we call you before anything ships.
Pick your quantity in the dropdown above. One battery covers essential loads overnight. Two or three is where most home backup systems land. The sizing guide below walks through what each configuration realistically carries, and the price per battery drops at every step from one through six.
Tell us what you are backing up and a sales engineer will size it with you before you buy, at no charge.

| This model, Outdoor | WallMount Indoor | |
| Enclosure rating | IP67, sealed against dust and water | IP20, indoor only |
| Where it can go | Exterior wall, carport, unconditioned outbuilding, garage, basement | Garage, basement, utility room. Not an exterior wall. |
| Capacity | 16 kWh nominal, 12.86 kWh usable | Identical |
| Output | 10.2 kW continuous discharge, 12.8 kW peak | Identical |
| Weight | 309 lbs | 293 lbs |
Electrically the two are the same battery. You are paying for the sealed enclosure, so if the install location is conditioned or sheltered, the indoor model does the same job for less. If it is going on an outside wall, this is the one.
| Quantity | Nominal / usable | What it typically covers |
| 1 battery | 16 kWh / 12.86 kWh | Essential loads through an overnight outage. Refrigeration, lights, internet, well pump, furnace blower. |
| 2 batteries | 32 kWh / 25.72 kWh | The same loads carried two to three days, or a lighter load run off-grid year round. |
| 3 batteries | 48 kWh / 38.58 kWh | Extended autonomy on a critical loads panel, or a small off-grid home. |
| 4 to 6 batteries | 64 to 96 kWh / 51.44 to 77.16 kWh | Whole-home backup including air conditioning, or full off-grid living with several days of no-sun autonomy. |
These are starting points, not promises. Runtime depends entirely on what you are running. Air conditioning and electric resistance heat change the answer completely. Send us your loads and we will size it with you at no charge before you buy.
IP67 all-weather enclosure - Sealed against dust and water, so it mounts on an exterior wall, under a carport or in an unconditioned outbuilding without a shelter built around it.
16kWh in one cabinet - 16kWh nominal, 12.86kWh usable at the recommended 80% depth of discharge, at 95% round-trip efficiency.
Handles motor loads - 10.2kW continuous discharge and 12.8kW peak for 3 seconds, with 8kW continuous charge. Enough headroom for a well pump or compressor start without nuisance shutdowns.
Heated for cold climates - The 448W internal heater switches on below 32°F and off at 37°F, so an outdoor install keeps charging through winter instead of sitting idle.
LiFePO4 chemistry - Better thermal stability and longer cycle life than conventional lithium-ion. Rated for 10,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge.
Smart BMS with active balancing - Protects against over and under voltage, over-current, short circuit and temperature extremes. A 250A battery breaker is built in.
Scales to 32 units - Parallel up to 32 batteries, so a single-battery install today can grow into a whole-home or light commercial bank later without replacing anything.
Talks to your inverter - RS485 and CAN communication for closed-loop control with compatible 48V inverter platforms.

Shipped with every battery.
Multi-battery installations need one conduit box per battery and one EG4 PowerPro Paralleling Cable set per additional battery. A two-battery system needs two conduit boxes and one cable set; three batteries need three boxes and two cable sets.
Your inverter, solar array, racking and AC disconnect are specified to your site. Tell us what you are powering and we will spec the whole system with you at no charge rather than have you guess.

Free shipping to the lower 48 on every order, however many batteries you buy. At 309 lbs each these move on a pallet by freight truck.
Delivery is curbside. The driver is not required to move the pallet to the install location, so plan for two people and an appliance dolly, or ask us about liftgate service when you order.
Inspect the pallet before you sign. Note any damage on the delivery receipt, photograph it, and call us the same day. Once you sign clean, a freight claim gets much harder for everyone.
Should I buy this or the indoor model?
Electrically they are the same battery. This one has an IP67 sealed enclosure so it can mount on an exterior wall, under a carport or in an unconditioned outbuilding. The indoor model is IP20 and has to live in a garage, basement or utility room. If your install location is sheltered, the indoor version does the same job for less money.
How long will one battery actually run my house?
Depends entirely on your loads, so the honest answer is that we work it out with you. As a starting point, essentials only, meaning refrigeration, lights, internet, a well pump and a furnace blower, typically draws 8 to 14 kWh overnight, which one battery covers on its 12.86 kWh of usable capacity. Air conditioning or electric resistance heat changes that completely and usually points to two or three.
Will it survive a real winter outside?
That is what the heater is for. It draws 448W, switches on below 32°F and off at 37°F, so the pack keeps charging rather than sitting idle in the cold. Charging is rated from 32 to 122°F and discharging from −4 to 131°F.
Why does the price per battery drop as I add more?
Because our cost of getting them to you barely moves. Putting one 309 lb battery on a truck costs almost the same as putting two or three on the same pallet, so we pass that difference back rather than keep it. Shipping is free either way, but the per-battery price is genuinely lower at every step up to six.
Can I start with one and add more later?
Yes, and it is a supported path rather than a workaround. You will need a paralleling cable set and a conduit box for the added battery, plus a firmware check on the existing pack so the BMS units agree. Buying together is cheaper per kWh, so if you already know you want the capacity, order it now.
Will it work with my inverter?
It is built for 48V systems and communicates over RS485 and CAN, which covers the EG4 6000XP, 12kPV and 18kPV and most other 48V platforms. If you are on something less common, send us the model before you order and we will confirm rather than guess.
How many can I parallel?
Up to 32 units. Most residential systems land between one and six, which is why the quantity dropdown stops there. If you are planning something larger, call us and we will quote it directly.
Do you install it?
We supply and support rather than install. Most customers use their own electrician. We spec the system, provide the wiring guidance and stay on the phone through commissioning.
Shipping is free across the Lower 48. No fuel surcharges, no residential fees, and no liftgate charge on freight orders. The price you see is the price you pay. Read our full Shipping Policy here.
Most orders leave the warehouse in 1 to 2 business days and arrive within 3 to 10 business days. We send tracking the moment it ships.
Anything that ships on a pallet goes freight with liftgate and pallet jack included, so the driver gets it off the truck and onto the ground at your address. The carrier will call you directly to schedule a delivery window.
Returns are 30 days from delivery. For freight deliveries, inspect the shipment before you sign for it. If something is damaged in transit, note it on the delivery receipt and we handle the freight claim, not you. Read more about our Returns Policy here.

I would personally like to thank Manny... I purchased the inverter and decided I needed to return it... Manny was very understanding and went out of his way to help me return the product and not even have to pay for shipping return. He gives this company reputation, honor and quality customer service!
