Enhanced Features
The introduction of SMT (Surface Mount Technology) circuit boards ensures greater reliability, improved efficiency, and reduced stray RF emissions compared to older PCB (Printed Circuit Boards) and through-hole boards. The inverter's case has been ingeniously scaled down by 28%, and its overall weight has been trimmed by 36%. This results in an efficient, dependable, aesthetically pleasing, and lightweight 5,000 watt inverter with a more compact footprint!
Component Details
Beneath the new glossy exterior, you'll discover the advanced SMT circuit boards and a robust cooling fan. On the front panel of the ProLine 5,000 Watt Inverter, you'll find a manually operated power switch (On/Off) and a jack for the included remote power switch. Three conveniently stacked 120V AC outlets, each capable of providing 1500 watts, are thoughtfully arranged on the right side of the inverter. Just to the left of the AC outlets, LED Over-Load and Over-Temperature warning lights and Voltage and Amperage level indicators are prominently displayed. With a robust AC terminal block positioned just below the Voltage/Amperage Level indicators, your investment is safeguarded.
Rear Component Details
The back of the ProLine 5,000 Watt Inverter features a powerful cooling fan, a Heavy Duty Solid Mount Positive (Red) Terminal, a Heavy Duty Solid Mount Negative (Black) Terminal, and a Ground-Neutral Bond stud with a wing-nut. Both terminals are now Heavy Duty Solid Mounts, emerging directly from the case for easier connections and to eliminate the usual 90° cable bend found in traditional inverters, reducing stress and simplifying connections. The massive cooling fan is employed to maintain efficient operation by keeping the inverter cool.
Performance Wagan Tech constructs its inverters with high peak surges, supporting up to 3x the continuous rating to accommodate high surging appliances like tools, microwaves, air conditioners, and refrigerators.
