They're IP65 sealed and rated for outdoor installation, so 32.14kWh can sit on a pad against the wall of the house instead of taking over a utility room, a basement, or a garage bay. That's the point of this kit: a full-time off-grid house or a farm where a spare equipment room was never in the plan. 6,600W of solar, a 10,000W split-phase inverter with 20,000W of surge, and 32.14kWh of storage. A refrigerator runs 182 hours on it.
Two batteries instead of five, which cuts both ways. Half the connections, half the things to get wrong, and nothing to rack or enclose. But each unit weighs 271 lbs, so where it lands is where it stays, and if one ever needs service you're down to 16kWh rather than four fifths of a bank. If you'd rather spread that risk across more units, the SGR-10K25S puts 25.6kWh into five server-rack batteries in an enclosed cabinet.

The 6.6kW array produces roughly 26 to 33kWh per day at 4 to 5 peak sun hours. That is close to what the battery delivers in a full discharge, so a good day refills most of the bank while running the house at the same time. Where this kit differs from the rest of the range is what happens when the good days stop: 32.14kWh is enough reserve to sit out a genuinely bad week.

The bottom rows are where this kit separates from the rest of the range. Central AC for nine hours from storage alone, an electric water heater for six, a well pump for the best part of a day. Two PowerMax units sustain 7.68kW each, which is more than double what the inverter can draw from them, so the 10,000W rating is the real ceiling rather than the battery. What the kit still won't do is run everything at once indefinitely: a 2-ton AC and an electric water heater together are three quarters of the inverter before the well pump starts.

IP65, rated for outdoor installation - The single biggest practical difference between this kit and everything else in the range. Sealed against dust and low-pressure water jets, wall or floor mounted, so the bank lives outside and the house keeps its floor space.
32.14kWh in two units - More usable reserve than any other 10kW kit on this page, and the fewest connections to make. Two batteries, one parallel cable, done.
7.68kW continuous discharge per battery - Two of them supply more than double what a 10,000W inverter draws, so the inverter rating is the honest ceiling. That is not true of every kit at this size.
8,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge - Against 5,000 to 7,000 on the batteries in comparable kits. At one full cycle a day that is over twenty years of daily service before the rated end of life.
10,000W continuous with 20,000W of peak - Double the rated output for motor starting, which means a well pump and a compressor can both come on while the house is already loaded.
6,600W of solar on 550W panels - Twelve high-output modules wired as two strings of six, one on each MPPT tracker. That is why the kit ships two PV breakers and two sets of extension cable.
UL1973 and UL9540A on the batteries - UL9540A is the fire-propagation test, and it is increasingly what a local code official asks for on any battery installed on or near a building.

How it ships. Kits ship freight on a pallet, which runs longer than the parcel deliveries in our shipping policy: typically 5 to 10 business days. Liftgate and pallet jack are included at no charge, so the driver gets it off the truck and onto the ground at your address. The two batteries are 271 lbs each and they are not a two-person carry over rough ground. Work out how they get from the driveway to their final position before delivery day, and have equipment or real help lined up. We send tracking as soon as it leaves the warehouse, and the freight carrier will contact you directly to schedule a delivery window. Someone needs to be there to receive it. Installation. Because this is an off-grid system with no utility interconnection, permitting is often simpler than grid-tied solar. Requirements still vary by location, especially for roof-mounted arrays or permanent electrical work, so check with your local building department before installing. The UL1741 listing on the inverter and the UL9540A listing on the batteries are usually the first things they'll want to see, and UL9540A matters more than most people expect for a battery mounted on the outside of a dwelling. At 10,000W, tying into an existing house panel is work for a licensed electrician.
Wire the panels as two strings of six, one on each MPPT tracker. That's what the two PV breakers and two sets of extension cable in the box are for. Six of these panels in series operate near 246V, comfortably inside the inverter's 125 to 425VDC window, and draw 14A against the tracker's 22A limit. Don't run all twelve in one string: 550W panels have a 49.7V open-circuit voltage, so twelve in series lands near 600V against a 500V ceiling. Even ten in series is too close to be safe once cold weather lifts the voltage.
One point on the battery cabling. The kit ships a single 1/0 AWG set from the breaker to the battery, plus the parallel cable between the two units. At 10,000W on a 48V bus that is roughly 210A through one cable run. Talk to us before you install: depending on your run length and how you position the batteries, we may recommend a second cable set so each battery carries half the load, which is how the larger banks in this range are wired.

Do the batteries really go outside?
Yes. They're IP65 rated, which means sealed against dust and against low-pressure water jets from any direction, and they're built for wall or floor mounting outdoors. That is what makes this kit different from everything else we sell at this size, where the bank has to live in a conditioned indoor space. The inverter is not outdoor rated, so it still needs a garage, shed or utility space, but the heavy part stays outside.
Does this kit include everything I need to install it?
The system side, yes: the inverter, both batteries with the parallel cable, all twelve panels, the DC breaker, both PV breakers, two sets of solar extension cables, the battery cable and the Z-brackets, and no enclosure to buy because the batteries don't need one. What varies is the building side: a pad or mounting surface for the batteries, rail racking for twelve large panels on a roof or ground mount, conduit, junction boxes, building wire, a critical loads panel or transfer switch, generator or shore power input wiring, and labor. Those depend on your structure and your local code, which is why we spec them per site. Tell us about your install and we'll list exactly what yours needs.
Can two batteries really keep up with a 10,000W inverter?
Comfortably. Each PowerMax sustains 7.68kW, so the pair supplies 15.36kW where the inverter draws under 11kW from the battery at full output. The inverter is the ceiling, not the bank. That is worth knowing because it isn't true of every kit in this class: some pair a large inverter with a battery that can't sustain its rating.
How should the panels be wired?
Two strings of six, one on each MPPT tracker, which is what the two PV breakers in the box are for. Six of these panels operate near 246V, in the middle of the inverter's 125 to 425V window. Don't run all twelve in one string: 550W panels have a 49.7V open-circuit voltage, so twelve in series lands near 600V against a 500V ceiling.
How much energy will this generate daily?
The 6.6kW array produces roughly 26 to 33kWh per day at 4 to 5 peak sun hours. Actual output depends on your location, season, panel angle and shading.
What does 8,000 cycles actually mean in years?
At one full charge and discharge a day, it's over twenty years before the batteries reach their rated end of life, which is defined as retaining 80% of original capacity rather than failing. Most off-grid systems don't complete a full cycle every day, so in practice the figure is conservative. It's also roughly 60% more cycles than the server-rack batteries in comparable kits.
Can I add batteries or panels later?
Yes. The PowerMax units parallel up to 16, so the bank can grow a long way. The inverter takes 11,000W of PV against the 6,600W included. Batteries work best when they match the originals in age and state of health, so if you expect to grow the bank it's worth buying the capacity up front.
Can I install this myself?
Parts of it. Setting the inverter, running PV and making the battery connections are within reach for someone with real electrical experience. At 10,000W, tying into an existing house panel is work for a licensed electrician, and positioning two 271 lb batteries is a job for equipment rather than enthusiasm.
Is LiFePO4 safe?
It's the safest widely available lithium chemistry, with strong thermal stability, long service life and minimal maintenance. These units carry UL1973 and UL9540A, the fire-propagation standard that matters most for a battery mounted on a building, and include BMS protection against overcharge, deep discharge, overheating, overload and short circuit.
