Not Sure This Is The Right System?
Request a Free Solar ProposalThis is a large 24,000W off-grid solar kit built for homes, farms, workshops, remote properties, and other locations with demanding power needs. The system combines two 12,000W 48V inverters, 31 × 590W bifacial N-type solar panels, and either 61.44kWh or 64.28kWh of LiFePO₄ battery storage.
The 31-panel array provides 18,290W (18.29kW) of rated solar capacity. At around 4 to 5 peak sun hours, that represents roughly 73 to 91kWh of theoretical panel output before system and environmental losses. Actual daily production varies with location, season, weather, panel orientation, temperature, shading, and bifacial rear-side gain.
The two FR12K-B inverters provide 24,000W of combined continuous output and support 120/240V split-phase power, making the system suitable for both standard 120V appliances and compatible 240V equipment.
Two versions, one powerful system. The FR-24K60CP uses twelve CoreX 5 Pro 5.12kWh server-rack batteries for 61.44kWh total storage. The FR-24K64PM uses four PowerMax 314 outdoor batteries for approximately 64.28kWh total storage. The inverter and solar array remain the same—the main difference is how the battery storage is installed and managed.
These examples show how different load profiles affect battery runtime. They are simplified estimates for comparison and assume no solar input while the loads are running.
| Setup | Continuous Draw | Approx. Runtime – 61.44kWh Bank* | Approx. Runtime – 64.28kWh Bank* |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential – Refrigerator, LED lighting, router, phones, laptops, TV | ~500W | ~100 hrs | ~105 hrs |
| Household – Above + freezer, ceiling fans, home office, pump cycling, microwave use | ~1,500W | ~33 hrs | ~35 hrs |
| Heavy – Above + central AC, workshop equipment, or other larger loads | ~3,500W | ~14 hrs | ~15 hrs |
With 24kW of combined inverter capacity and more than 61kWh of battery storage, this system is intended for considerably larger loads than a typical small off-grid kit. It can support combinations of household appliances, refrigeration, lighting, electronics, pumps, air conditioning, and compatible workshop equipment when the installation and load profile are properly designed.
Approximate battery-only runtimes are shown below. These examples do not include incoming solar power.
| Load | Typical Draw | 61.44kWh Battery | 64.28kWh Battery |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chest Freezer | ~100W avg | ~500 hrs | ~520 hrs |

You prefer a server-rack battery system, have a suitable indoor battery location, and want twelve smaller battery modules that can be organized together.
You want fewer, larger-capacity batteries and an IP65 outdoor-rated enclosure, particularly where installing a large indoor server-rack bank is less practical.
Two 12,000W FR12K-B inverters provide a combined 24kW of rated output, giving the system substantial capacity for large residential and appropriately sized workshop or light-commercial loads.
The inverter system provides 120V/240V split-phase power, allowing appropriately wired installations to operate both common 120V appliances and compatible 240V equipment.
The kit includes 31 × 590W bifacial N-type monocrystalline panels, providing 18.29kW of rated front-side solar capacity.
Each FR12K-B has two MPPT trackers and supports up to 13,200W of PV input, providing flexible solar-string design without requiring separate external MPPT controllers for the included configuration.
Each inverter supports up to 200A maximum charging current, providing high-capacity battery charging for a system of this size.
Built-in Wi-Fi monitoring makes it easier to check supported system operating information without standing directly in front of the inverter.
The inverter platform includes generator support, giving the system another energy source when extended bad weather or unusually high consumption makes additional charging necessary.
The FR12K-B platform supports up to six inverters in parallel, allowing a properly designed system to reach as much as 72kW of inverter capacity.
Both configurations use LiFePO₄ batteries designed for repeated cycling. CoreX 5 Pro batteries are rated for 6,000+ cycles, while the PowerMax 314 specification lists 8,000 cycles.
The included 590W modules carry a 12-year material and workmanship warranty and a 30-year performance warranty.

Thirty-one large-format 590W modules require considerable installation space. Confirm the roof or ground-mount area is sufficiently large and receives adequate sunlight before ordering.
The two versions require different battery installations. The FR-24K60CP uses twelve indoor server-rack batteries, while the FR-24K64PM uses four IP65 outdoor-rated PowerMax batteries.
A 24kW 48V battery system carries very high DC current. Battery interconnection, busbars, overcurrent protection, disconnects, conductor sizing, grounding, and inverter connections should be engineered for the final installation rather than assumed from a generic diagram.
Motors, pumps, compressors, air conditioners, and other equipment can require considerably more power during startup than during normal operation. Check both running wattage and starting/surge requirements.
Each FR12K-B provides two MPPT inputs, with a 125–425V MPPT operating range and 500V maximum PV open-circuit voltage. String configuration must remain within voltage and current limits across expected temperatures.
Because this system combines high-voltage PV, a large 48V lithium battery bank, and 120/240V AC output, installation should be performed by appropriately qualified personnel following manufacturer instructions and applicable electrical requirements.

The main difference is the battery system. The FR-24K60CP includes 12 × CoreX 5 Pro server-rack batteries totaling 61.44kWh, while the FR-24K64PM includes 4 × PowerMax 314 outdoor batteries totaling approximately 64.28kWh. Both versions use the same two 12kW inverters and 31 × 590W solar panels.
The kit includes 31 × 590W panels, providing 18,290W or 18.29kW of rated front-side solar capacity.
At 4 to 5 peak sun hours, 18.29kW of rated panels represents approximately 73 to 91kWh of theoretical panel output before losses. Actual production can be lower or higher depending on location, weather, temperature, shading, orientation, system losses, and bifacial rear-side contribution.
The kit contains two 12,000W inverters, giving it 24,000W of combined rated inverter capacity when configured appropriately. Whether a particular installation can sustain that output depends on battery configuration, cabling, busbars, protection equipment, operating conditions, and system design.
Yes. The FR12K-B supports 120/240V split-phase output, allowing properly wired installations to operate compatible 240V equipment.
Yes. The inverter platform supports generator integration, providing another source of power or battery charging when solar production is insufficient.
Potentially, yes, but additional panels must remain within the inverter's PV voltage, current, and maximum input-power limits. Solar expansion should be designed around the existing string configuration rather than simply adding panels in parallel.
Both battery platforms support expansion within their respective manufacturer limits. Additional batteries must be compatible with the existing battery type, communication system, wiring, protection equipment, and system design.
The PowerMax 314 used with FR-24K64PM is IP65-rated for outdoor applications. The CoreX 5 Pro server-rack batteries used with FR-24K60CP should be installed according to their specified indoor environmental requirements.
The FR-24K60CP is suited to installations where there is a dedicated indoor location for server-rack batteries. The FR-24K64PM is better suited to layouts that benefit from fewer, larger outdoor-rated battery enclosures. The choice mainly depends on installation space and battery placement rather than inverter or solar performance.
